The South African Social Security Administration (Sassa) is the government agency that looks after the South African social security system. If you are a South African citizen and are over 20 years old, you are automatically entitled to benefits from the social security system. These include grants, income support, and critical illness cover. If you are eligible for benefits, you will be paid weekly or monthly.

In order to check your status, you can use the SASSA check app. This app allows you to check the status of your application for a particular benefit, such as a R350 Social Relief of Distress (SRD) grant. You can also use this app to check your status for all benefits, including income support, critical illness cover, and employment support.

The app is very easy to use. First, you need to log in with your username and password. This is the same information that you use to log in to your account on the website. Next, you need to select the benefit that you want to check. This can be your R350 grant application, or any other benefit. You will then be given the options to either apply for the benefit or to request a change.
